A look back at top performances from Week 6 of the high school football season from the Green Bay area.

Green Bay Preble beat Green Bay Southwest in overtime

TEAM OF THE WEEK: G.B. Preble

The Hornets won a 28-21 overtime contest at Green Bay Southwest in a Fox River Classic Conference game. Connor Shefchik rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score, while Cole Kingston made an interception in overtime to end the game.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

West De Pere's Josh Blount

Josh Blount, West De Pere: The junior quarterback put up video-game numbers in a 56-42 victory over Menasha. Blount rushed for 393 yards and six touchdowns in addition to throwing for another score to put the Phantoms in the driver’s seat to win a share of a third straight Bay Conference title.

Matthew Cravillion, Luxemburg-Casco: The 6-foot-3 senior threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 107 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Oconto Falls. Cravillion also made six tackles on defense.

Algoma's Carter Zimmerman

Jordon Deringer and Carter Zimmerman, Algoma: The duo combined for 257 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, while each made eight tackles and an interception in a 52-10 victory over Sturgeon Bay.

Spencer Evenson, Sevastopol: The junior rushed for 128 yards, caught a touchdown and made a team-high 12 tackles in a 16-6 victory over Gillett.

Javonne Szymanski

Javonnee Szymanski, G.B. Southwest: The 6-foot-4 junior had a monster game in an overtime loss against Green Bay Preble. Szymanski accounted for all three of the Trojans’ touchdown, making six receptions for 148 yards and two touchdowns in addition to returning a kickoff for a touchdown.

OFFENSIVE LINE OF THE WEEK: Seymour

The Thunder averaged 6.7 yards per carry in rushing for 255 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-6 victory over Waupaca behind the blocking of Paul Treml, Owen Geurts, Kaleb Shufelt, Jacob VerVoort, Mike Banker and Aiden Linsmeyer.

DEFENSE OF THE WEEK: Wrightstown

The Tigers held Little Chute to a season-low point total in a 7-3 victory in a North Eastern Conference game. Jeremy Van Zeeland led the way with 14 tackles and an interception, while Joe Hella made two sacks and Caleb Ritter recorded eight tackles and a sack.
