A look back at top performances from Week 2 of the high school football season from the Green Bay area.

Green Bay Southwest is the Team of the Week for Week 2.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Green Bay Southwest

The Trojans rallied from a 10-0 deficit to beat De Pere 14-10. Senior Taejon Richard scored the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter to cap a 68-yard drive.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Josh Blount

Josh Blount, West De Pere: The junior quarterback rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns in addition to passing for 83 yards and another TD in a 52-14 victory over New London.

Marshal Bukowski

Marshal Bukowski, N.E.W. Lutheran/Oneida Nation: The junior made 16 tackles, a safety and blocked two punts, returning one for a touchdown. Bukowski also caught a 36-yard TD and ran in a two-point conversion to account for all of the co-op team’s points in a loss to Wabeno/Laona.

Matt Grzybowski

Matt Grzybowski, Bay Port: The junior rushed for 258 yards on 36 carries and four touchdowns in the Pirates’ 55-21 victory over Green Bay Preble.

Owen Kudick

Owen Kudick, Kewaunee: The senior rushed for 174 yards on 24 carries and two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter of a 36-30 victory at Manawa.  Kudick also threw a 70-yard touchdown to Max Hanrahan on the game’s first play.

Javonee Szymanski

Javonnee Szymanski, G.B. Southwest: The junior returned a kickoff for a touchdown, made two interceptions and caught a 45-yard pass in the Trojans’ victory over De Pere. Both interceptions took place with De Pere driving inside the Southwest 10-yard line.

Wrightstown offensive line

OFFENSIVE LINE OF THE WEEK: Wrightstown

The Tigers averaged 6.3 yards per rush in totaling 290 yards on the ground and three touchdowns in a 24-13 victory over Denmark behind the blocking of Caleb Ritter, Tony Schultz, Carson Fabian, Joe Hella, Austin Koltz, and tight ends Quincy Klister and Andrew Lamers.

DEFENSE OF THE WEEK: Pulaski

The Red Raiders allowed only 132 yards in a 35-0 shutout over Manitowoc. Max Burdette, Easton Vertz, Logan Kobus and Max Steinbrecher recorded sacks.
