A look back at top performances from Week 1 of the high school football season from the Green Bay area.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Pulaski
The visiting Red Raiders overcame a 45-minute delay Thursday due to a power outage and rallied for a 21-17 victory at Green Bay Southwest behind 314 rushing yards and three touchdowns from senior Dylan Hendricks. It was Pulaski’s first win over Southwest since 2014.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Hunter Clark, Seymour: He rushed for 214 yards and five touchdowns on 15 carries in the Thunder’s victory over Green Bay East.
Isaiah Gash, Bay Port: The junior running back had an efficient night, rushing for 73 yards and scoring touchdowns on four of his six carries in a win over Sheboygan North.
Wes Glime, G.B. Notre Dame: Completed 10 of 14 passes for 202 yards and four touchdowns in a victory over Sheboygan South.
Nick Howard, G.B. Southwest: He completed 20 of 33 passes for 340 yards and a touchdown in addition to rushing for another score and making nine tackles against Pulaski.
Jared Jandt, Peshtigo: He rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns in addition to completing 4 of 5 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown in the Bulldogs’ victory over Two Rivers. His electrifying play took place in two cities, as the the game was moved from Peshtigo to Marinette at the half after the power went out.
OFFENSIVE LINE OF THE WEEK: Pulaski
The Red Raiders averaged 6.9 yards per carry in rushing for 338 yards in a 21-17 victory at Green Bay Southwest behind the offensive line of senior Dustin Van Lannen, senior Liam Fahey, senior Chasten Fatla, junior Caleb Szymik, junior Bennett Sheedy and senior tight end Nathan Przybylski.
