Standings in the Stands: Who has the best fans in 2019?

We’d like to start off Year 3 of Standings in the Stands with an apology.

We’re deeply sorry for the delay in crowning the 2018 champion.

We reviewed the tape several times and just couldn’t make a conclusive call in an epic matchup between the Pineapple People and the ‘Burg, which involved drones and fireworks (See videos below).

In the end, we made the executive decision to award a trophy to each program and name co-champions at Ashwaubenon and Luxemburg-Casco.

Addison Stromberg & Chayse Earney led Ashwaubenon to a title in 2018.
Miceli Mania ran wild to lead the ‘Burg to a title.

For 2019, we promise to crown an undisputed champion.

After all, sharing is for social media, not championships.

If you’re new to Standings in the Stands, we’d like to formally welcome you to the place where the top fan bases come to play.

Think your school has the best fans in the Green Bay area? Then prove it by sending photos and videos of what makes the support of your team stand out.

Send your submissions to us on Twitter (@andrewpekarek), Facebook (PrepsAgenda), Snapchat (@AndrewPekarek) and Instagram (@preps_agenda).

Instagram is new this year, and we here the kids call it the ‘gram, so we’ll roll with that as well in a weak attempt to pass as cool.

Each week we’ll grade the submissions and award points to update the Standings in the Stands.

We’ll award a trophy to the top school at the end of the season. Keep in mind this is a participation trophy, meaning your participation is necessary to win. Follow the directions by tagging me with your photos and videos on one of the social media channels above.

Please keep your photos and videos appropriate. We will not accept anything that your school officials wouldn’t approve of.

With that being said, we still want to see you have fun, so be as loud and vibrant as you would like.

If nobody participates this year, then we’ll just have to pretend this post never happened.

We’re pretty sure that’s not going to happen, though, because rumor has it that the Pineapple People held a practice for its student section on Monday night. Ben Wittig would be proud.

Don’t be shy, and don’t let your school not make our Standings in the Stands again this year.

Get your AP and Pekarek’s Pals signs ready. There is another participation trophy to be won this year.

As always, student sections, bands, teachers, principals and parents are encouraged to apply.

BONUS POINTS FOR WEEK 1: Get a “Preps Agenda” or “AP” sign on TV during WFRV Channel 5’s High School Sports Xtra broadcast on Saturday night and receive three bonus points.
