TEAM OF THE WEEK: Seymour

The Thunder, a No. 6, seed was the only local team to win on the road as the lower seed in the first round of the Division 3 playoffs. Seymour won 19-7 at No. 3 New London to avenge a 10-7 loss on Oct. 5. Hunter Clark threw for 74 yards and rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown in the win.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Wes Glime, G.B. Notre Dame: The senior, pictured at the top, completed 14 of 19 passes for 245 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Tritons over Fox Valley Lutheran in D3. It’s the fourth straight year Notre Dame has won a first-round game.

Dylan Hendricks

Dylan Hendricks, Pulaski: The senior rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown and threw for 92 yards another touchdown in the Red Raiders’ 23-20 victory over Menomonie in D2. Hendricks scored the go-ahead touchdown with 3 minutes, 50 seconds remaining and also added nine tackles and a sack as Pulaski won a playoff game for a third straight year.

Jeremy Jorns, Sevastopol:  The senior recorded 11 tackles, two sacks and interception in addition to helping to block for 481 rushing yards in the Pioneer’s shutout victory over Oakfield in an 8-player playoff game.

Derik LeCaptain

Derik LeCaptain, Southern Door: The senior rushed for 227 yards and two touchdowns, recorded 57 receiving yards and caught two touchdowns, and made nine tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown in the Eagles’ victory over Peshtigo in D5. LeCaptain’s five touchdowns gives him 90 in his career to break the previous school record of 89 set by Ryan Englebert.

Jacob Zeilter, Coleman: The senior rushed for 198 yards on 24 carries and scored six touchdowns in the Cougars’ victory over Crivitz in D6.

OFFENSIVE LINE OF THE WEEK: West De Pere

The Phantoms averaged 7.5 yards per carry in rushing for 415 yards in a D3 victory over Antigo behind the offensive line of Kerry Kodanko, Gabe Somerville, Liam McDonough, Bryce Graef and Cameron Reese; fullback Matt Kempen; and tight ends Billy Wyatt and Luke Feaker.
